Senior Surveyor - Northumberland
Salary: £40,000 - £75,000 DOE + benefits.
Job Overview
We are working with a well established and highly regarded firm to recruit a Senior Surveyor. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering estate management and professional services to a portfolio of private clients, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will provide advice across a broad range of rural property matters, including estate management, landlord and tenant issues, valuations, diversification and development projects, lettings, and utility or compensation work. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues across the business, representing the company at industry events, and contributing to wider strategic initiatives. Alongside managing existing client relationships, you will play a key role in business development, maintaining a strong pipeline of work, identifying new opportunities and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities
* Deliver estate management and professional services to a portfolio of private clients
* Provide advice across a broad range of rural property matters: estate management, landlord and tenant issues, valuations, diversification and development projects, lettings, and utility or compensation work
* Collaborate with colleagues across the business
* Represent the company at industry events
* Contribute to wider strategic initiatives
* Manage existing client relationships
* Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of work, identifying new opportunities and supporting business growth
Candidate Requirements
* RICS accredited (MRICS) with a minimum of 5 years PQE
* Strong experience within estate management or a similar role
* In-depth knowledge of rural property and associated professional services
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
* Self‑motivated, trustworthy, and hardworking
* Ability to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Full UK driving licence
* Hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for
* Legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment
