We have a new opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team within Vistry Works East Midlands, at our factory in Coalville working on the day shift. As Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the Head of Maintenance and act as a support function to that person and the maintenance team. The role involves analysing current processes on a range of equipment including semi-automated wall panel lines, floor cassette benches, roof truss presses, and timber saws. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical ability, excellent people management and coaching skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. Strong contractor management is a must also. We are always looking at our next project or improvement in all aspects of the factory, so a strong portfolio of past projects will be expected.

A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), or Equivalent level 3 electrical qualification
IOSH
Experience of working with statutory regulations such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols

Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Deputise for the head of maintenance when needed
Management of the day-to-day contractors on site
Help to develop best practice across all maintenance and facilities functions
Collaborate with key stakeholders to collect and analyse data to improve processes
Deliver and support site-based projects
Lead and deliver CI projects and help to deliver a culture change
Support and mentor the maintenance team to develop their career and technical expertise
Working closely with the maintenance team and production teams to understand operational requirements and minimize disruptions during maintenance activities
Implement robust RCA on issues highlighting improvements and follow on actions
Help to develop all critical spares and PPM packages for all automation
