Salary: Up to £39k including OTE
Hours: Working on a rota basis, week one Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, week two 8:30am - 5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm
Lookers Land Rover Chelmsford is recruiting for a PDI Technician to join their workshop. You will work alongside 15 experienced technicians, carrying out Pre Delivery Inspections on new cars, as well as preparation, servicing, and repairs of used cars to approved standards.
Reporting to Claire Betts-Gardner, the aftersales manager, you will receive ongoing support and training, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training to advance your career.
Our technicians are essential to delivering first-class customer service. We welcome qualified Vehicle Technicians or experienced Mechanics from dealer groups or independent garages.
Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
2. Conducting vehicle services according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
3. Performing additional repairs with customer approval
4. Completing warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines and proper documentation
5. Road testing vehicles to ensure faults are rectified
6. Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard
The ideal candidate will have workshop experience, be self-motivated, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to work to high standards. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent are required. MOT licence is a bonus.
Experience with the brand is advantageous but not essential; full brand accreditation training is provided.
