Join us as a Mechanical Fitter at our high-profile, High PSV quarry – a flagship Holcim site where you’ll help keep the wheels turning at one of the UK’s most important quarrying operations. With quarry reserves extending to 2045 and beyond, this is more than just a job; it’s a career with staying power in a scenic, fast-paced environment, working with big kit, big goals, and a big future.

What Youll Be Doing
* Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs to mechanical equipment and infrastructure
* Reacting swiftly to breakdowns and implementing temporary and permanent solutions to keep production moving
* Supporting safe systems of work, risk assessments, and high safety standards across the team
* Contributing to improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and boost efficiency
* Using welding, cutting, and fabrication skills to maintain key operational assets
* Supporting junior operatives and communicating effectively across site teams
* Conducting daily plant checks, reporting issues, and maintaining clean, hazard-free work areas
What Youll Bring
* Ideally an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical maintenance, with experience in a heavy industrial setting
* Skilled in fabrication, welding, and fault-finding across a range of plant and equipment
* Great team spirit and communication skills; collaborating with colleagues across production, maintenance, and leadership
* Good understanding of engineering drawings, safety systems, and preventative maintenance routines
* Experience with mobile plant (e.g. Loading Shovel, ADT) is a bonus but not essential
