Job Overview
Carrying out a range of mechanical and electrical tasks including repairs, testing, and servicing of Hire and Customer equipment, working mainly within established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Check, clean, and prepare hire equipment for re-hire within current skills range.
* Service and repair equipment to departmental and company standards.
* Identify and order necessary materials for hire and service repairs.
* Set up and operate equipment following manufacturers’ guidelines and/or procedures.
* Maintain accurate records of work undertaken, including job tickets, timesheets, and other paperwork.
* Carry out pre-delivery inspections for equipment where applicable.
* Keep work bay clean and tidy to ensure workshop tidiness.
* Follow MIS health and safety regulations.
* Maintain tools, plant, and equipment in a clean and workable condition.
* Ensure the security of tools, plant, and workshop areas.
* Perform additional tasks relevant to the role as reasonably requested by the line manager.
Required Skills and Experience
* Mechanical and electrical background.
* Ability to work independently and make decisions for successful outcomes.
* Positive response to new challenges and change.
* Understanding of data accuracy importance.
* Good customer service skills with colleagues and customers.
* Participation in training arranged by the company (TBC).
* Perform other duties as appropriate to the role as reasonably requested.
