Overview
Equans is recruiting for a Multi Site Caretaker to be based at our Central Office, Vinewood House, Stoke on Trent, ST4 4DB. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,436.80 per annum and benefits package.
Responsibilities
* Carry out first line investigations into building faults and isolate / make safe where necessary and arrange referral to engineer or specialist Service Partner through the contract management or dedicated Helpdesk.
* Carry out minor building maintenance works, including fabric, grounds, electrical and plumbing.
* Carry out both statutory and contractual Preventative Planned Maintenance tasks, including Water Hygiene, Fire Safety and Emergency Lighting.
* Accompany EQUANS Service Partners on site, issuing approved Permits and being the main point of contact.
* Provide Out-of-Hours emergency event cover as part of a rolling On-Call rota, covering all ten sites within Staffordshire. (Frequency subject to change depending on business requirements).
* Be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH laws and regulations to ensure all EQUANS company Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Completion of audits, ensuring all on-site documentation is current, compliant and complete.
* Snow clearance and gritting in the winter months, providing support to other sites within the portfolio where required.
* Provide a Meet & Greet service to external Community Groups who utilize the Community Facilities within the Fire Station, including setup and tidy away of required furniture.
* Reporting building misuse or damage to the Mobile Operations Supervisor in a timely manner.
* Be able to work under pressure, problem solve and use initiative when necessary.
* Observe site rules and maintain a smart appearance.
* Be prepared to perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Mobile Operations Supervisor or Account Manager.
* Understand the operation of the building to maintain a positive on-site relationship with customers and be aware of any potential or existing customer dissatisfaction or circumstances and ensure management are suitably informed in a timely manner.
* Provide cover for holidays, sickness and emergencies when required at all ten sites.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience within the FM industry.
* Good timekeeping and attendance record.
* Physically fit to carry out general duties.
* An outgoing personality with strong customer service focus.
* Proven experience of delivering a high-quality service with an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate those expectations to the rest of the team to achieve the same high standards.
* Experience of completing Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
* A full UK driving license is essential.
* For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting, including DBS clearance; ability to pass is essential.
