Construction Site Manager (On‑Site) - Immediate Start
High‑Security Government Environment
We're looking for an experienced
Construction Site Manager
to take day‑to‑day control of an active project within a
government high‑security
setting. You'll lead multiple work packages on one site, set the tone for safety and quality, and keep delivery on track through clear planning and communication.
What you'll do
* Lead, coordinate and sequence
multiple work packages
on a live site, ensuring interfaces are managed and milestones are met
* Own
site inductions
, daily briefings and
toolbox talks
; drive a proactive safety culture
* Conduct regular
H&S site inspections
, audits and
quality inspections
, closing actions promptly
* Plan works, manage logistics, permits and access in line with
high‑security protocols
* Maintain and update construction phase documentation and
CDM 2015
compliance on site
* Coordinate effectively with
contractors, client representatives and stakeholders
, resolving issues before they impact programme
* Support RAMS reviewsl
* Keep immaculate site records: diaries, deliveries, permits and progress photos (in line with security rules)
What you'll bring
* SMSTS (minimum requirement)
* Strong, practical knowledge of
CDM Regulations 2015
and site compliance
* Proven experience
managing multiple packages
in a complex, live environment
* Excellent communicator, clear, calm,
level‑headed
and solutions‑focused under pressure
* Track record of working within
high‑security or regulated
environments (government, defence, critical national infrastructure, etc.)
* Confident delivering inductions, briefings, H&S/quality inspections and closing out actions
* Solid planning skills with the ability to prioritise, re‑sequence and keep teams productive and safe
Nice to have
* Existing
Security Clearance
(e.g., SC/DV) or the ability to obtain it quickly
* Temporary Works knowledge, Lift Plans exposure, or relevant certificates
