About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
For you, as a Housekeeping Assistant, that will mean keeping the home clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming. The environment you maintain will reflect your attention to detail. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you’ll do so with kindness and professionalism.
HC-One is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide comprehensive training. You’ll need excellent time management and organizational skills. A positive attitude, energy, and the ability to get along with people are essential. You should be a good communicator, able to listen as well as give instructions. Always communicate with consideration and kindness towards residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It’s important that you can recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know what actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
We will provide full training, offering you a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a variety of benefits and support to promote your well-being, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Hourly rate depending on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with qualifications
* GP online service for 24/7 virtual consultations
