About the opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Planning Engineer to join the integrated joint venture team on the DDP Lot 3 Framework at Sellafield – i3 Decommissioning Partners
The main goal of this framework is to assist in the decommissioning of the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).
As an Assistant Planning Engineer you will be required to plan and coordinate a wide range of works within the scope of the framework. Initially including (but not limited to) the ops and maintenance contract which is planned outside of planning software (albeit all other projects use P6 - training will be provided if required)
The role will require:
1. Planning civil resource across the ops and maintenance contract mainly using MS Excel
2. Planning and coordinating tasks as required mainly using MS Excel
3. Producing P6 schedules where required
4. Attending client facing and i3 meetings
Here's What You'll Need:
5. P6 fundamentals training (will be provided if not)
6. Experience of managing resource or coordinating tasks in some way
7. Experience of working within a highly regulated industry (such as nuclear)
8. Some experience/understanding of the construction industry, methods and practices
