About The Academy
The Shoreline Academy is located in North Devon, with sites in Barnstaple for secondary pupils and Bideford for primary and nurture pupils. Our focus is on emotional needs and development in a whole-academy environment, supporting pupils with barriers to learning through guidance, support, and positive relationships.
We aim to collaborate with primary and secondary schools in North Devon and beyond to support vulnerable pupils, helping them to grow, develop, and transition successfully, whether back to mainstream education or through completing Year 11.
We work with various external agencies to provide tailored support, developing skills and knowledge to help pupils reach their full potential.

Who We Are
Wave is a successful Multi Academy Trust comprising Alternative Provision Academies, Medical Academies (including Sowenna), and a Special Academy. We serve vulnerable pupils aged 4-19 across Devon and Cornwall, with a reputation for outstanding outcomes and supporting pupils' transitions to further education, employment, or training. The Trust educates over 1000 pupils and employs over 350 staff members.
