Trainee Service Engineer / Mechanical Fitter / Trainee Commissioning Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.
The successful Trainee Service Engineer / Mechanical Fitter / Trainee Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical fitting, service, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of bespoke mechanical systems, predominantly containment systems for biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, and aerospace markets. This is a workshop-based role in Stockport with worldwide travel and staying away when required (overtime and staying away allowances paid). Full product training will be provided.
The Trainee Commissioning Engineer will ideally have a hands-on mechanical background, an understanding of pneumatics, and some electrical experience. The role requires a willingness to learn advanced engineering systems and the flexibility to travel while supporting a wide range of engineering activities.

Assist with the service, maintenance, and repair of containment isolators and associated mechanical systems.
Support installation, assembly, and commissioning activities at customer sites once fully trained.
Conduct basic fault finding across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components.
Carry out mechanical assembly, airflow testing, FAT/SAT, and commissioning once trained.
Liaise with various engineering departments.

Hands-on mechanical service, maintenance, or installation background with practical experience.
