A leading retailer in the outdoor and adventure sector, encompassing a range of popular brands. With an extensive and varied estate, this organisation aims to maintain profitability while expanding its presence across the UK and beyond.
Job Description
* Negotiate rent reviews, lease renewals, and break options to reduce property costs and improve profitability.
* Explore and implement regear opportunities to lower occupational costs and generate incentives for reinvestment.
* Manage store rebranding and oversee closures, including dilapidation negotiations.
* Maintain ownership of property databases.
* Collaborate with internal and external teams such as Retail Operations, Finance, Maintenance, H&S, and legal advisors.
* Prepare reports for monthly board meetings and advise on budgets for the upcoming financial year.
* Authorize invoices for rent and service charges, ensuring compliance with turnover-linked rents.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will possess:
* MRICS qualification or significant estates management experience in a retail environment
* Strong negotiation skills with experience in property cost reduction and lease management
* Ability to manage multiple projects, including store rebranding and closures
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Knowledge of property management systems and the retail property landscape
* A proactive approach to identifying strategic growth opportunities
