Senior Drainage Engineer – WSP Shropshire Alliance
As a Senior Drainage Engineer you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver complex drainage schemes from conception through to delivery. You will take a lead on feasibility studies, detailed design and investigations.
Location: WSP Shrewsbury office. Role offers flexible working with a mix of in‑office and home work; potential to be based in Birmingham with regular travel to Shropshire.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently deliver complex drainage schemes from conception through to delivery.
* Investigation, data collection and analysis.
* Feasibility studies, designs and reports.
* Development of funding applications on behalf of the client.
* Preliminary and detailed drainage design, compliant with DMRB, Local Design Specifications, Sewage Sector Guidance, CDM2015 and BIM.
* Contract administration.
* Construction supervision.
* Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and team members.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience leading drainage design projects within the highways or related sectors.
* Familiarity with DMRB, Local Design Specifications, Sewage Sector Guidance and CDM2015.
* Commitment to health, safety and welfare of yourself and team members.
* Competence using Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Causeway Flow and Microsoft Office.
* Commitment to working collaboratively and with a client focus.
