Yorkshire Water Graduate Scheme – Digital UX Graduate


Salary & Benefits

Starting salary: £32,000, rising to £37,000 by end of year 2

Extras: £2,000 signing bonus, annual bonus, 25 days holiday + bank holidays + wellness day

Location & Work Type

Location: West Yorkshire with requirement for flexible travel across Yorkshire & Humber.

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm Monday – Friday


The Graduate Programme

The Graduate Programme is a two year programme offering five structured placements within your business area, with selective placements in other areas, including our core functions, such as Finance, Health & Safety, People, or Procurement, to provide a holistic and rounded business learning journey.

The variety within the programme will see you working across our business and undertaking activities alongside your colleagues to meet the challenges faced by our industry ranging from how to achieve net zero carbon emissions through to how we plan for drought or flood events.

We recognise that each of our graduates will have different needs and ambitions, therefore, our programme is designed to meet those individual needs so that you can shape your future career the way that suits you. We offer a balanced development programme inclusive of technical and leadership training throughout the duration of your two years with support from Sponsoring Managers, Graduate Champions, and Mentors, as well as core programme team to support you from the day you make the decision to join us.

Customer Experience is at the very heart of how we develop a business that serves a thriving Yorkshire, right for customers, right for the environment.


Where you’ll fit in

As a Digital UX Graduate, you will:

* Join our existing Business Insights and Service Planning team, within Customer Experience.
* Help to modernise our digital capability to help underpin an improved customer journey, and experience.
* Identify opportunities to remove wastage from our customer contact strategies through the implementation of technologies like Asynchronous messaging.
* Work closely with key stakeholders across Yorkshire Water to identify all opportunities to streamline processes through technology.
* For your duration in the role, you will be assigned a line manager and a mentor from within the Business Insights and Planning Service community.

What we’re looking for

* A minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
* An individual with a creative and strategic mindset.
* Ability to work in a fast paced and highly pressured customer centric environment, building designs that improve the experience we deliver.
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
* Experience in user research, wireframing & prototyping, interaction design and portfolio development are important for the role.


Key Dates

* Assessment Centres: between 17th November 2025 to 5th December 2025
