About the Role:
A leading financial services client of ours is seeking a highly skilled Funds Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex fund structures, advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of retail investment funds, and collaborating with key stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advising on the structuring, establishment, and ongoing operation of retail investment funds, including UCITS, SICAVs and other regulated fund vehicles.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, including UCITS Directive, FCA rules, etc.
* Drafting and negotiating fund documentation, including prospectuses, investment management agreements, distribution agreements, and regulatory disclosures.
* Providing strategic legal advice on fund governance, investor relations, and regulatory developments.
* Liaising with regulators, external counsel, and industry bodies to stay ahead of market trends and legal developments.
* Supporting internal teams on fund-related matters, including tax, compliance, and risk management.
