Overview
We are seeking reliable Delivery Driver's Mate to join our small but expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods in a timely and safe manner as we deliver and collect furniture / white goods for a well-known high street chain.
The company operates 7 days a week. You will be offered a 5- or 6-day rota. Weekend work will / can be involved. There will be multi-drop deliveries and collections within the Southend and surrounding area, supporting the driver with the heavier items; most are a two-man lift.
Salary and hours: £12.50 starting rate. Working hours are 9 am until 4 pm.
The right candidate will be:
* Reliable and organized
* Have good communication skills and a good level of customer service
* Be fit and healthy and able to lift heavy goods
* Good work ethic, reliable
* No criminal record; DBS check would be needed to be completed
* Perform heavy lifting when loading and unloading deliveries
Experience and Qualifications
* Ideally will have worked within the delivery industry; however no experience required, everyone welcome
* Driving licence desirable
* All training will be given
