Job Description:
Building Services Account Manager
M&E / Facilities Management Account
Central London - Single Contract
Bonus
Pension Scheme
Our client is a well-established and growing property and real estate organization, with numerous high-profile commercial M&E and Facilities Management accounts across the UK and globally. Due to an internal restructure, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Manager / Director for a prestigious commercial client based in Central London. The role involves working Monday to Friday, responsible for delivering a 5-star service, including M&E maintenance, energy & sustainability initiatives, and soft services across a high-profile building. Managing a team of approximately 25 staff, including supervisory, engineering, and contract support/facilities personnel, liaising with the on-site client.
The salary guideline ranges from £75,000 to £85,000 for the right candidate, with additional benefits such as a bonus scheme, pension, and opportunities for training and career development within a market-leading organization in the commercial building services and facilities management sector.
Applicants should have at least five years of experience managing M&E or Total Facilities Management in a commercial setting, whether for a dedicated M&E service provider, managing agent, or similar. While a technical background is not mandatory due to a strong engineering team on-site and centrally, experience in managing Landlord Services or M&E/Total FM clients is essential. Additional training such as Institute of Leadership Management (Level 3-5), IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, MIBFM, etc., is desirable.
Key experience areas include:
* Managing a team of approximately 25 staff
* Budget responsibility for around £2.5 million P&L
* Delivering planned and reactive M&E maintenance
* Engaging with multiple stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance through auditing
* Implementing energy and sustainability initiatives
* Reducing WIP
* Identifying opportunities for project works
* Succession planning
This organization is a market leader operating across sectors such as corporate, banking, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and data centers. There are excellent opportunities for progression into Area or Regional Management roles and internal mobility across different accounts. The position is suitable for an ambitious and determined Account Manager/Director seeking to advance their career with a top-tier organization in the field.
