Job Description
The Company has an immediate opportunity for a Legal Executive to join our rapidly expanding Europe division. The role will report to our Chief Legal Officer.
This Legal Executive role is within a small in-house legal team and is an excellent opportunity for growth and development, in an environment where you will be exposed to a wide variety of commercial property work.
Location
The position will be based in our United Kingdom offices, located in Grazeley, Reading, England. The role may require travel to operational locations and company offices, situated across the UK.
Responsibilities & Duties
* Drafting and negotiating commercial leases and ancillary documents.
* Carry out due diligence on all commercial property matters.
* Drafting and negotiating any licences to assign, underletting’s, licence to carry out alterations and transfers.
* Ability to manage own workload with little supervision.
* Accountable for all dealings with other lawyers and other legal aspects on all property transactions.
* Assess risk on every transaction by using skills to make pragmatic decisions and to ensure appropriate legal advice is given.
* Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
* Candidates will also need to be able to contribute to the larger business on legal matters, risk assessment and sector changes as well as offering day-to-day commercial property advice.
The successful candidate will have:
* You will be a Legal Executive specialising in Commercial Property with 1 – 4 years experience.
* Extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of Commercial Property.
* Good technical knowledge.
* Experience within private practice or in-house.
* You will have excellent commercial awareness skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and intermediaries.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
* High attention to detail with sound working knowledge of common MS Office packages.
* Experience in the energy sector would be beneficial but not vital.
