By applying for this role, you will be considered for RF Engineering career opportunities within Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) division. This is a Pipeline Req sample statement of work and actual job responsibilities will be within one of our functional organizations. We may have multiple opportunities at various levels.

MFC is one of five Lockheed Martin business areas. It is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and dozens of foreign allies. Most of our RF Engineering positions do not offer teleworking / remote opportunities; although we enjoy the Flex 4/10 schedule with every Friday off. Relocation assistance is possible for many of these exciting positions.


Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM), preferably Electrical Engineering discipline; or equivalent combination of experience with education.
* Applicant must be eligible to obtain a minimum DoD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship Required).
* Minimum of two years work experience in any of the following:
o RF or Microwave design.
o Designing and testing RF circuits at the CCA level.
o RF simulation experience at the system level (e.g. SystemVue/AWR VSS), at the circuit level (ADS / Microwave Office), and at the full-wave level (CST / HFSS).
o Experience troubleshooting RF, Microwave, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering designs to resolve integration issues.
o Experience with Schematic Review, RF Block Diagrams and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
o Expertise using microwave test equipment and microwave circuit simulation tools.
o Experience with Radar / RF Signal Process Engineering, including knowledge of RADAR concepts such as Detection, Estimation, and Tracking.
o Experience developing EMI/EMC requirements, requirement flow down to subsystems, E3 control plans, design for E3 requirements, and hardware allocation planning.
o E3 design experience, including experience in electromagnetic theory, modeling, and practical design support.
o Experience with conducting test events for MIL-STD-461 and/or MIL-STD-464.
o Experience with design and troubleshooting of RF Datalink Engineering.
o RF Communications architecture experience.
o Experience with RF test equipment and RF hardware verification.
o Experience in RF Subsystems Design and troubleshooting.
o Production support of RF systems and subsystems.
o Experience with Hybrid (Chip and Wire) assemblies.
o Experience with RF Receivers and Transmitters Modules.
o Experience with RF Test Equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters.
o Experience with Lab Equipment such as Oscilloscope, Power Supplies.
o Knowledge of RF Components such as mixers, amplifiers, switches, VCO, Dividers, PLL, Attenuators, Low Noise Amplifiers.
o Experience with RF Cascaded Analysis.
o Experience with RF Simulation Models to include CST, ADS, Genesys, System Vue, HFSS, Microwave Office.
o Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) tools to include LabView or TestStand.
o Experience in high frequency RF testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting using an RF probe station.
o Experience in Low Observables: Stealth Engineer, Radar Cross Section (RCS), Signatures, Antennas, Radomes, or CEM.
o Experience in Electronics Packaging Engineer: Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Packaging, Printed Wiring Board (PWB) Packaging, Cabling & Harness Packaging, Packaging Technologies.


Desired Skills

* Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
* Defense or Aerospace Industry experience.
* Previous Missile Program experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.


Pay Rate

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 – $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. This is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The position is incentive plan eligible.

* Washington state applicants only: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and other reasons; accrue at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full‑time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually and receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
