Your responsibilities
will include:
1. Providing RC and consultant psychiatrist input to inpatients in specialist services (18- 20 inpatients)
2. Participation in a low frequency second- on-call regional medical rota
3. Assessing new referrals to ensure that the service meets the needs of those who are appropriately admitted.
4. Providing leadership to the clinical team and contributing to clinical governance and service development
5. Ensuring the highest standards throughout all levels of the service
6. Ensure high quality liaison and good relationships with external agencies such as commissioning bodies.
7. Contributing to the training and education
To be successful in your application, you will need:
8. To hold MRCPsych or equivalent, and a CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychiatry of LD or medical psychotherapy
9. Full GMC registration and to have had an appraisal within the 12 months.
10. Section 12 (2) approval and AC status
11. Experience of working within a MDT in providing care for patients with complex needs
12. Experience in psychotherapeutic approaches to management of personality disorders is desirable.
