The Team and Work
The Property Department is at the forefront of real estate finance, advising on the full range of property finance, regulated and non-regulated lending, portfolio buy-to-let, and development finance. In an evolving property finance market shaped by increased regulation and diverse security types, the team provides expert guidance on security documentation, lending structures, subordination agreements, and deeds of priority.
The Role
As Head of Department, you will:
* Lead and grow a high-performing, close-knit team of property and finance fee earners
* Oversee a diverse, high-value caseload spanning real estate finance and secured lending
* Drive client engagement, business development, and departmental strategy
* Provide hands-on expertise and leadership, ensuring quality and efficiency at every stage
The Ideal Candidate
* 10+ years PQE with strong experience in real estate finance and property law
* A proven leader, confident in mentoring and developing a small, dynamic team
* Commercially minded, with the ability to manage complex, high-value transactions
* Keen to shape the department’s future and play a strategic role within the firm
