The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a busy and fast-growing motor vehicle repair and MOT centre group. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with experience across a wide range of vehicles. An MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
You will be working in a modern workshop environment, carrying out high-quality diagnostic, service, and repair work to industry standards while contributing to a positive and professional team culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults
2. Carry out servicing, diagnostic, and repair work as directed
3. Inspect vehicles for wear, damage, and general faults
4. Complete all work to DVSA standards
5. Conduct MOT inspections where qualified (desirable)
6. Work independently while also contributing effectively within a team
7. Deliver excellent customer service and uphold best-practice workshop standards
Skills & Experience Required
8. Minimum 5 years' experience as a vehicle technician
9. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
10. Confident using diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and electronic testing tools
11. Good knowledge of electrical and electronic vehicle systems
12. Experience working across a variety of vehicle makes and models
13. IT literate
14. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
15. Good communication skills
16. Full UK driving licence
Qualifications
17. Relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 minimum; Level 4 desirable but not essential)
