Senior Litigation Solicitor - Belfast
Our client, a reputable national law firm based in Belfast City Centre, is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Solicitor to join their Personal Injury team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to handle large loss claims, including complex, high-value High Court cases involving casualty, motor claims, and catastrophic injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of complex injury claims, including high-value multi-track and catastrophic injury cases (brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, fatal claims).
2. Handle claims valued between £100k-£250k, liaise with insurer clients, and provide technical advice on indemnity, liability, quantum, and causation issues.
3. Conduct forensic analysis of evidence, prepare chronologies, and identify anomalies.
4. Instruct medical experts based on symptomology and medical record analysis.
5. Draft pleadings, statements, and legal advice; instruct counsel and attend conferences, mediations, and court proceedings.
6. Supervise and develop junior team members, maintain case management systems, and ensure compliance with LSNI regulations.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
* Qualified solicitor or relevant legal experience.
* Experience in indemnity, liability, and quantum; familiarity with complex medical issues preferred.
* Strong analytical, advocacy, and communication skills.
* Ability to plan, prioritize, and work under pressure.
* Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, Office).
