Temenos Transact (T24) SQL Server Developer and Database Administrator (DBA) required by an International Bank based in the City of London paying circa 60k, it is Office Based, you will be part of a team of 4. Ideally you will have indepth knowledge of the Temenos Transact (T24) data structure and the ability to develop and administer Microsoft SQL Server administration, and performance tuning, with a strong ability to work independently and translate business requirements into robust data solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions. Gather, analyse, and interpret user requirements to design and deliver effective database solutions with minimal supervision. Administer, monitor, and optimise SQL Server environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security. Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Support application teams in integrating and accessing data efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and query optimisation. Create and maintain technical documentation for database systems and processes. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity and solution alignment. Provide data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence support as required. Stay up to date with SQL Server best practices and emerging database technologies. Required Skills & Experience Familiarity with Temenos Transact (T24) data structures and core banking systems. Experience in SQL Server development and administration (SQL Server 2016 or later). Strong proficiency in T-SQL, database design, and performance tuning. Proven experience in database administration, including security management, backup/recovery, and maintenance planning. Ability to independently gather and analyse requirements and translate them into technical database solutions. Solid understanding of relational database concepts and normalisation. Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and reporting tools (e.g., SSIS, SSRS, Power BI). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to use other data analysis and reporting tools used by the bank. Desirable Skills Experience with cloud-based SQL environments (e.g., Azure SQL Database). Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git). Exposure to data governance, compliance, and security best practices. Knowledge of Python Programming Knowledge and willingness to learn and use Kestra, and orchestration and workflow automation platform.
