The role
As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will lead best practice project management across the full lifecycle, tailoring Babcock’s Global Project Management Framework to meet programme needs. Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you will help ensure projects remain on track, risks are managed proactively, and outcomes are delivered on time and to standard.
Day to day responsibilities
* You will lead the deployment of the Babcock Global Project Management Framework, tailoring it to programme requirements
* You will develop and manage detailed project schedules, plans, and delivery milestones
* You will actively manage project and programme risks, ensuring clear mitigation strategies are in place
* You will maintain and evolve the Project Execution Plan in collaboration with functional stakeholders
* You will engage confidently with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure sustained progress
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
The role is based onsite at Andover, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, with a minimum presence of three days on site. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites, including occasional European travel, may be required.
Essential experience
* Experience delivering projects across the full project lifecycle
* Experience managing risk within projects or programmes
* Experience communicating effectively with customers and suppliers
* Experience working collaboratively within dynamic, fast-paced teams
* Ability to travel when required, including to other European countries
Qualifications
* APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent, or working towards achieving this
* Membership of a recognised project management body would be advantageous
Security clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
