With over 35,000 employees in more than 70 countries, Pearson is committed to ensuring learning leads to meaningful progress in people’s lives.\n\nAs a Pearson Independent End-Point Assessor (IEA), you’ll work with a trusted organisation known for its high-quality assessment standards, flexible working arrangements, comprehensive training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are recruiting Independent End-Point Assessors across several healthcare standards:\n\n * \n\n Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Adult Nursing Support, Maternity Support, Diagnostic Imaging, Theatre Support, Allied Health Professions Therapy Support) – Level 3\n\n * \n\n Healthcare Support Worker – Level 2\n\n * \n\n Assistant Practitioner (Health) – Level 5\n\nYour role will involve:\n\n * \n\n Conducting final, holistic assessments of apprentices across healthcare disciplines.\n\n * \n\n Reviewing and grading apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours following set assessment plans and criteria.\n\n * \n\n Providing fair, accurate, and evidence-based grading decisions.\n\n * \n\n Maintaining independence and ensuring assessments are free from bias or conflict of interest.\n\n * \n\n Participating in training and standardisation events to maintain assessment quality.\n\n * \n\n Completing assessment reports and documentation to high professional standards.\n\nThis role offers flexible working (remote and on-site) and requires travel to employer locations when needed.\n\nIdeal Candidate\n\nWe are looking for qualified healthcare professionals with:\n\n * \n\n Recent occupational experience within healthcare (minimum 2–5 years, depending on standard)\n\n * \n\n A current NMC PIN or equivalent relevant registration (for clinical routes).\n\n * \n\n Knowledge and experience within one or more of these areas: adult nursing, maternity, diagnostic imaging, operating theatres, AHP therapy support, or general healthcare support.\n\n * \n\n An assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent) – or willingness to work towards one.\n\n * \n\n A strong commitment to continuous professional development and high assessment standards.\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.\n\n * \n\n An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).\n\nWhy Join Pearson?\n\n * \n\n Flexible working and nationwide opportunities.\n\n * \n\n Full training and standardisation to support you in the assessor role.\n\n * \n\n Work with one of the world’s most trusted names in learning and assessment.\n\n * \n\n Make a real difference by ensuring the next generation of healthcare professionals meet the highest standards.\n\nApply Now\n\nIf you are a healthcare professional passionate about education and assessment, we’d love to hear from you.
