Maintenance Engineer

Due to an exciting expansion and further future growth, a new position has been created in our Site Engineering Team for our Hot Puddings and Ready to Eat Factories at our site in Portadown.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will be an integral part of a small dedicated team providing best-in-class engineering support to the manufacturing operation. Your role will involve optimizing production performance, carrying out tool changes on machinery, minimizing plant downtime, implementing effective preventative maintenance, performing fault diagnosis and repairs. All within a modern Food Factory environment.
You will also contribute to Capital Project installations, assisting outside contractors, with direct involvement in new machinery installation, setup, and servicing. The core shift pattern will be Monday to Friday covering Days 6:00 am - 14:30 pm and Evenings 14:30 pm - 23:00 pm. However, you will be expected to cover holidays and absence when required.
Essential Requirements
Candidates should have undertaken an engineering apprenticeship/training program with a recognized UK qualification. A minimum of 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Mechanically biased with some electrical experience. IT literate. Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
Desirable
Food Industry Experience. Experience of working with Robotics. Experience of working with Automatic Packing Machinery, Cooking Vessels, and Depositors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing company which offers scope for further career development.
