1. £15.08 per hour
2. Immediate start
3. Duration - month by month basis
4. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday
5. Cover to include both sites - L/Derry and Strabane
6. Public Sector
7. You will join the Dog Warden team within the Council.
What you'll be doing in this role:
8. Enforce legislation, Orders and Byelaws relevant to dog control, including all matters relating to dog attacks on persons, livestock and other animals, dog licencing (including microchipping), collection and impounding of stray dogs, and the identification and seizure of banned breeds.
9. Plan, organise and prioritise the day to day management of personal work allocations to achieve the objective and targets detailed in the Dog Control and Animal Welfare Service Delivery Plan.
What you'll need for this role:
10. 5 GCSE's at Grace C or above or equivalent level of qualification
11. Drivers licence and Access to transport
2 years' relevant experience working with dogs in a controlled environment. This must include
12. Control and handling of various breeds of dogs
13. Dealing with members of the public including complaints
14. Cash handling
15. Maintaining records and drafting reports
