Based in the heart of Whitby, our shop is the face of Whitby Distillery. We are looking for enthusiastic Retail Assistants to join our friendly team.
You'll be welcoming visitors from near and far, helping them discover our award-winning spirits, and making sure they leave with a smile (and maybe a bottle or two). As part of this role, there's also the chance to get involved in distillery tours and events, no two days will be the same
Summary
We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at Whitby Distillery in Whitby. This role is vital in promoting our premium spirits and providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every visitor has a memorable experience.
We are flexible on hours: whether you're looking for one day a week or full-time, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist customers with product inquiries and purchases.
* Provide knowledgeable recommendations on our range of spirits.
* Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor.
* Execute merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility.
* Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
* Engage customers through upselling techniques to increase sales.
* Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals.
* Qualifications
* Proven experience in retail sales or customer service.
* Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
* Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
* Basic math skills for handling transactions.
* Experience with merchandising is a plus.
* Must be over the age of 18 years old.

Pay: £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 35 per week
