In the Temporary Workforce team, we look after the placements of temporary, Casual Bank and Interim workers. We assist all departments at West Sussex County Council with their temporary workforce requirements. We are a small and busy team that work closely together, as part of our wider Resourcing function.

About The Job
The main purpose of the role is to provide resourcing administration to support the Recruitment Services Manager – Temporary Workforce across the council, including raising temporary worker orders for directorates. You will also support in the management of Agency systems and ensure satisfactory pre-employment checking processes, for example, DBS checks.
Other Duties include:
* Raising and monitoring purchase orders, arranging IT equipment and access for new starters and ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
* Assisting with the onboarding process for Interim Workers into WSCC, ensuring value for money and compliance with procurement processes.
* Distributing ad-hoc recruitment requests to the agency supply chain, ensuring vacancies are filled in a timely manner.
About You
Some of the key skills, experience and knowledge required to be successful in the role include:
* Ability to manage changing priorities and multi-task to ensure deadlines are achieved.
* Organisation skills with high attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills to enable you to build relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, problem solving as you go, whilst delivering a focused customer service that meets their needs.
* Sound administrative experience – preferably in a recruitment environment.

About Us
Our Recruitment Team is a key part of the Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate (HROD), we provide expertise in delivering resourcing activities across all our directorates which helps provide services to our 850,000+ residents.
As part of our ongoing mission to improve the service we provide all directorates we have made some changes to our structure which has resulted in the creation of this new role for Recruitment Co‑ordinator. This new structure will enable the Temporary Workforce team to deliver a much more efficient, customer centred, service and help us improve the candidate journey and support our resourcing activities so we can continue to support our residents.
