Location: Cookstown Hours: MonThurs 9am5pm & Fri 9am4pm (35.25 hrs per week) Salary: £30,000 per annum (DOE) We are delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a maternity cover contract with a well-established and reputable business in the equipment rental sector. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and wants to be part of a supportive team. The Role Youll play a key part in the finance team, supporting with a wide range of responsibilities including: Reconciling multiple bank accounts in different currencies. Preparing month-end customer statements and managing direct debit collections. Assisting with management accounts: fixed asset reconciliation, intercompany invoicing, journal postings and analysis. Processing supplier invoices accurately and on time. Resolving queries with internal teams and external suppliers. Ensuring invoices are approved and paid in line with company policy. Completing TSS, Intrastat, VAT (UK & Ireland) and EC Sales List returns. Supporting colleagues during busy periods and contributing to departmental reports. Assisting with ad hoc projects and finance tasks to meet deadlines. About You Accounting Technician qualification (or equivalent practical experience). Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Flexible, collaborative and able to adapt to changing priorities. Why Join?
