Job Description
How your day looks like:
* Ensures that working areas and equipment are hygienically clean and in order, and that supplies are on hand with proper control to ensure efficient service.
* Conducts bi-monthly inventory of operating equipment in all outlets to ensure control of breakage & losses.
* Initiates requisition for cleaning materials and other supplies to minimize wastage & misuse.
* Schedules daily, weekly, & periodic cleaning of food production outlets and equipment.
* Ensures proper hygiene & sanitation in all areas, including the staff cafeteria.
* Monitors the consumption of chemicals in all machines & wash-up areas.
* Adheres to the company’s policies regarding fire, hygiene, and safety.
* Maintains a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
* Evaluates the performance of individual stewarding personnel based on quality standards.
* Ensures low breakage and proper maintenance of all equipment by facilitating appropriate training.
* Controls the release of equipment to banquet for outside catering.
* Oversees the proper maintenance of all dishwashing machines in his areas.
* Sets auditing & inspection schedules of F&B areas & coordinates with the Engineering department for proper maintenance of machinery & food processing equipment.
* Communicates effectively with guests, immediate superiors, business partners, and staff.
* Participates in community projects or activities to promote the hotel’s image and improve community relations.
* Acts as a good salesperson to promote the hotel’s image and business.
* Participates in activities related to Municipality Food Hygiene meetings, Assured Safe Catering Program, etc.
* Exercises administrative supervision over all stewarding personnel, including personnel requisition, promotion, disciplinary actions, training, rosters, and overtime requests.
* Maintains complete documentation of all stewarding activities such as:
1. Daily Hygiene checklist/Assured Safe Catering
2. Training records
3. F&B operating equipment records
4. Pending Maintenance Records
Qualifications
* Secondary / High school education is an advantage.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
* Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Service-oriented with an eye for detail.
* Ability to work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
* Team player & builder.
* Motivator & self-starter.
* Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
