We are seeking a resilient, compassionate, and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable learners with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, challenging behaviour, or other complex needs. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to students. Deliver engaging, inclusive, and adapted lessons Support students in managing their emotions and behaviour in a positive, proactive way Build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping to boost confidence, engagement, and achievement Support with the daily running of the classroom and maintain a safe, structured learning environment Liaise with head teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support holistic development Person Specification Essential: Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, preferably in a PRU, alternative provision, or similar setting Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Excellent communication and teamwork skills Desirable: QTS / PGCE Experience with SEMH, trauma-informed practice, or restorative approaches Understanding of EHCPs, safeguarding procedures, and SEND Code of Practice If you are interested in this position please send your over your CV
