To provide full support to Sonographers performing ultrasound scans for patients referred to the service.
To undertake the care and reassurance of patients undergoing ultrasound scans in a professional and empathetic manner, including acting as a chaperone for all ultrasound scans.
To contribute to the smooth running of the Ultrasound Service and to work closely with all other staff.
Travel is required.

Responsibilities
* Providing support to Sonographers performing ultrasound scans for patients referred to Physiological Measurements Ltd.
* Setting up and tidying the clinic room prior to clinic commencement.
* Entering patient details onto the ultrasound machine accurately.
* Collecting patients from the waiting room and escorting them into the clinic.
* Explaining preparatory requirements to patients and ensuring correct positioning on the couch.
* Providing care and reassurance to patients during ultrasound scans, including chaperone duties.
* Adhering to patient confidentiality and complying with Data Protection.
* Transferring ultrasound machines across various geographical sites.
* Ensuring that clinic rooms are maintained according to specified clinical/IPC standards.
* Participating in IPC audits and site assessments.
* Contributing to clinical audits.
* Transporting consumables between clinical locations.
* Carrying out clerical duties, including the use of the Ipmc system.
* Transferring all patient images to the CIMAR at the end of each clinic.
* Participating in all training by e‑learning or other methods and keeping up to date as advised.
* Taking part in the appraisal system.
* Attending Advanced Imaging Assistant meetings.
* Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with Sonographers, Operations staff, GP staff, and dealing with any clinic‑setting issues.
* Willingness to undertake any other tasks and duties delegated from time to time.
Person Specification
Experience
* Essential: Experience of working in a team, customer/patient facing experience.
* Desirable: Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
Other Requirements
* Ability to travel throughout the region to cover multiple sites.
* Eligibility to reside and work in the UK.
* Good general health and physical fitness.
* Enhanced DBS will be taken.
* References will be taken.
