Job Description
1. Responsibility for the import instruction process to carriers
2. Ensuring courier shipments are sent out & delivered on time to our customers & global offices
3. Support Shipping Team with day to day administrative tasks eg. creation of manual shipping invoices & packing lists
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
4. Managing shipping inbox for imports, creating instructions to carriers and updating records
5. Liaise with relevant departments to co-ordinate courier shipments
6. Creating shipment invoices & packing lists
7. Ensure all courier shipment deliveries are made in line with customer and company requirements.
8. Act as contact for customer and internal queries relating to shipping or status enquiries.
9. Signing off freight invoices from suppliers
10. Maintaining and updating various existing spreadsheets.
Qualifications
Key Experience and Competencies (includes skills)
11. Previous experience of shipping and shipping procedures relating to imports & courier shipments
12. Knowledge of Customs/HTS Codes.
13. Keenness to learn and carry out new tasks and develop new skills, within a multi-functional role.
14. Sound analytical and interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
15. Good knowledge of Incoterms
16. A good demonstration of prioritisation
17. Strong communication skills, internally and externally
18. A high standard of computer literacy with Excel VLOOKUP skills
