Job Description
3. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry into accounting systems.
4. Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Monitor budgets and provide insights on variances or discrepancies.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
7. Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and audits.
8. Support the finance team with reconciliations and cost analyses.
9. Provide financial advice and guidance to other departments as required.
10. Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance function assisting with reconciliations, journals and balance sheet reviews
11. Preparing and analysing financial data and reports
12. Supporting budget setting and annual charge reviews
13. Working with large data sets using Excel
14. Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
15. Supporting compliance and audit requirements
16. Liaising with wider operational and finance teams across the business
17. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accountant should have:
18. Happy to consider PQ and QBE candidates.
19. Experience working in the Housing sector.
20. Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of financial systems.
21. The ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights.
22. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
23. Proficiency in preparing financial reports and handling budgets.
