Job Summary
We are seeking a Night Residential Child Care Worker to join our Residential Services in North Lancashire. The role involves working nights and weekends across multiple homes in the region, ensuring that children are supported and that homes remain secure while staff are asleep.
Hours and pay: Full time, 37 hours per week. Salary range £28,142 – £32,061 per annum. Enhanced pay rates apply for night and weekend work, including a 25% uplift for hours between 11 pm and 8 am and up to 33 % additional pay for weekend work if part of the contractual week.
Key Responsibilities
* Work nights, ensuring homes remain safe and secure during staff being asleep.
* Provide support to children who wake during the night, offering a friendly presence and resolving any issues.
* Coordinate with social workers, schools, police and health workers as needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working with children in a residential setting is preferred, but passion and willingness to learn are key.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
o Must be able to drive or be provided a car based on disability.
o Must obtain DBS disclosure under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
