DYS327: Senior Youth Support Worker – Locations: Exmouth & Ottery
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract – 1 year with potential to become permanent
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Salary:
* Unqualified scale pt 9 – 10 (JNC) – £27,817.00 – £28,516.00 (pro‑rated)
* Qualified scale pt 10 – 13 – £28,516.00 – £31,885.00 (pro‑rated)

Responsibilities
* Lead youth work in a variety of settings
* Support the development of co‑workers and volunteers
* Codesign and support the delivery of social action projects in the community
* Work with partners and stakeholders
* Plan, evaluate, and evidence youth work outcomes
* Help young people develop skills and implement their ideas into action
Qualifications and Skills
* Experienced youth worker or confident in transferable skills required for the post
* Leadership and confidence
* Passion for supporting and advocating for the rights of young people
* Creativity and solution‑focused thinking
* Respectful, with excellent empathy and kindness
* Ability to multitask, set priorities, and seek help when needed
* High commitment to continuous professional practice
* A reflective practitioner
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel to various locations
