The Role
As an Engineering Moderator (Fitting & Assembly – T Level), you will play a critical role in quality assurance and moderation for providers delivering this qualification.
Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out provider visits
*
Moderating provider marking and conducting robust quality assurance and moderation activities
*
Providing clear guidance and support to providers on assessment and marking standards
*
Producing detailed reports and feedback on quality of marking, assessment evidence, and best practice
*
Identifying risks, issues, and areas for improvement within the moderation process
*
Participating in training and standardisation activities to ensure consistency and high standards

You’ll be a confident occupational expert with strong engineering credibility and a passion for maintaining high standards in education and assessment.
You will ideally have:

Substantial industry experience in Engineering / Manufacturing, specifically Fitting & Assembly
*
Knowledge of technical education, assessment, or quality assurance
*
Experience in assessment, verification, moderation, or training (desirable)
*
Strong written skills for producing clear, professional reports
*
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with education providers
*
The ability to work independently while meeting quality and regulatory requirements
