HGV Technician – Reading
Pay: £22.20 per hour | Monday to Friday | Day Shifts Only
We are recruiting HGV Technicians to join our workshop team in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician or a semi-skilled HGV Technician seeking stable weekday hours, strong pay, and the chance to work on a modern, well-maintained fleet.
Working Hours
50-hour working week
Monday to Friday only – no weekend work
Rotating day shifts: 6:00am – 4:00pm / 7:00am – 5:00pmFleet Details As an HGV Technician, you will work on a varied fleet, including:
2 Renault and Scania HGV tippers
2 Scania HGV tractor units
4 Volvo HGV tractor units
Mixed trailersKey Responsibilities As a HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and trailers
Diagnostics and fault finding
MOT preparation and inspections
Ensuring all work meets DVSA standards
Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environmentCandidate Requirements We are seeking two candidates:
One experienced, time-served HGV Technician
One semi-skilled HGV Technician with relevant hands-on experienceIdeal candidates will have:
Previous experience working on HGVs or trailers
Strong mechanical knowledge
Ability to work independently (experience dependent)
