About HF

People. Not just lawyers

Were not your typical law firm - were people with a passion for helping our clients and each other achieve the best possible outcomes. We are leading legal advisers to the insurance and commercial sectors across the UK & Ireland, known for our innovation, client focus, and long-lasting relationships.

We do things differently, with a forward-thinking approach built around our clients needs, supported by cutting-edge technology and a culture built around people from a wide range of backgrounds who are taking an equally wide range of routes to building their careers in law.

About the team

Our Serious & Catastrophic Injury team specialises in high-value, life-changing personal injury claims, representing clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, severe orthopaedic trauma, chronic pain, and fatal accidents.

You’ll be part of a highly experienced and supportive team, working closely with senior lawyers, medical experts, case managers and rehabilitation providers to deliver exceptional client care and achieve the best possible outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise within a specialist, nationally recognised team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll assist and manage a caseload of catastrophic and complex injury files, working collaboratively with senior team members. Your role will include:

* Managing and progressing high-value personal injury claims from instruction to resolution, including litigated High Court cases.
* Preparing pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss, instructions to experts and key litigation documents.
* Coordinating expert evidence across multiple disciplines.
* Providing empathetic and proactive client care, supporting individuals and families through rehabilitation pathways in line with the Rehabilitation Code.
* Developing litigation strategies, negotiating settlements, attending conferences with counsel/experts, and participating in settlement meetings and mediations.
* Supporting and supervising non-qualified team members where required.

What do I need?

We’re looking for someone who brings technical excellence, strong litigation skills, and a compassionate approach. Ideally, you will have:

* Qualified Solicitor status (0-6 years PQE, indicative).
* Experience handling high-value personal injury cases (desirable).
* Strong knowledge of the Serious Injury Guide, Rehabilitation Code, and CPR.
* Excellent drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a complex caseload.
* Clear, confident communication skills.

What’s in it for you?

Apart from the competitive salary you’ll expect, our package of benefits reflects our values of partnership, innovation, and being real people. We’re committed to creating a dynamic workplace where everyone feels supported, empowered, and part of our success.

You’ll enjoy:

* 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 30 with service) + Holiday Buy Scheme
* Life Insurance & Income Protection
* Employee Assistance Programme & Digital GP services
* Pension Scheme
* Electric Car Scheme
* Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave
* Hybrid & Flexible Working Options
* Discounted Gym Membership & Employee Discount Hub
* Flu & Eyecare Vouchers - and more!

What next?

If HF sounds like a place where you could belong, we’d love to learn more about you!

Submit your CV here and we’ll be in touch if we have any opportunities that match your experience and interests. If we don’t have something right now, we’ll keep your details on file and may reach out in the future as part of our talent pipeline.
