We're working with a leading UK food business looking to bring in an insight-led Category professional to help shape customer strategy and drive real category growth across Grocery.
This isn't just reporting and range reviews. This is about influencing decisions, telling compelling stories with data, and becoming a true category partner to major retailers.
The Role
You'll be working closely with both customers and internal teams, using insight to drive better decisions and stronger performance.
Day to day, you'll be:
* Turning complex data into clear, actionable insight that drives growth
* Leading category plans that influence shopper behaviour and unlock opportunity
* Supporting and shaping Joint Business Planning, including range reviews, NPD and EPD
* Ensuring the right product mix, promotions and execution across in-store, online and convenience
* Partnering with commercial and product teams to deliver category success
* Running shopper research-from full studies through to quick-turn surveys
* Building strong relationships with key Grocery customers and becoming a trusted voice
You could be a Category Executive, Category Manager or Senior Category Manager-what matters is you're ready to step up and take more ownership.
You'll bring:
* Experience within UK FMCG / Grocery
* Strong understanding of data sources like Kantar, Nielsen, IRI or loyalty data
* The ability to turn data into compelling, commercially focused stories
* Confidence presenting and influencing customers
* A strong understanding of shopper behaviour and category dynamics
* A proactive, commercially minded approach
