The Montefiore Hospital is recruiting for a Nursing Team Lead to join us on a permanent basis to assist in the management of our Pre-Assessment unit. You will work with a supportive team that includes nurses, senior nurses and senior management, ensuring teams deliver effective patient care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.

Duties and responsibilities
The Nursing Team Lead will provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing a team. They will ensure the team delivers effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.
The role is made up of 80% clinical time and 20% management time.
1. Provide appropriate day to day managerial leadership
2. Promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all Patients, Employees and Consultants acting as an advocate to more junior members of the team
3. Provide effective and efficient clinical leadership and management of POA resources, driving clinical excellence in all aspect of care received by patients
4. Plan off duty to meet the needs of the department
5. Plan and deliver training and education to team members
6. Represent the POA team at meetings
7. Take a leadership role in the planning, development and implementation of expanded services within the service
8. Ensure the day to day running of the POA unit remains in line with safe staffing policy
9. Take an active role in the clinical audit and action program for the unit
Who we're looking for
10. Registered Nurse with current NMC registration - with no restrictions on practise
11. Be used to working in teams with minimum supervision.
12. Pre-assessment qualifications
13. Proven experience of working in pre-assessment as a lead or Senior Nurse
14. Demonstrable experience of working as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
15. Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
16. Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solution for the service
