Our Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit focuses on delivering innovative technical solutions for government agencies. Roles require UK Security Clearance and UK nationality due to project security. Candidates with higher clearance levels or willing to obtain clearance are preferred. Applicants without security clearance are welcome to apply for other opportunities within CGI.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
We are seeking a Software Engineer for a cloud-based big data project. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering software, configuring software improvements, maintaining deployment environments, and supporting live system changes. Candidates should possess a positive problem-solving attitude and adaptability to client needs.
Required qualifications:
Experience in some of the following technologies is preferred:
* Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript (TypeScript), Go
* Frontend Frameworks: Vue.js
* Scripting & Automation: Bash, Ansible
* DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform
* Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS
* Testing & Quality: Cucumber, SonarQube
* Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack, Grafana
* Dataflow & Integration: Apache NiFi
Willingness to learn and contribute across the stack is important, as experience across multiple areas is desirable but not mandatory.
