About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton.
This is a permanent day shift opportunity for a skilled engineer with experience using Fanuc controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in producing work to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set, and operate CNC machines using Fanuc controls
* Produce precision-engineered components to specification
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
* Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine settings
* Monitor machining processes and inspect finished components for quality
* Make program adjustments and offsets where required
* Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
* Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
* Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven CNC programming, setting, and operating experience
* Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
* Good understanding of machining processes and tooling
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable
* Experience working with milling or turning machinery
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
