Role Overview
As an
Employment Advisor
, you will support job seekers who have been out of work for longer periods by:
* Providing advice, guidance, and advocacy to help individuals overcome barriers to employment.
* Delivering employability support through both the
Individual Placement and Support (IPS)
and
Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF)
models.
* Developing tailored action plans and workshops covering CV writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
* Partnering with local agencies, employers, and colleagues to maximise opportunities for clients.
* Managing caseloads, maintaining accurate records, and producing outcome-based reports.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a high-volume caseload of clients, delivering job search support and career advice.
* Motivate and coach individuals in job readiness, applications, interviews, and skills development.
* Support recruitment events such as job fairs, open days, and employer outreach.
* Provide accurate tracking, reporting, and ensure compliance with
GDPR
.
* Meet set performance targets while delivering a high standard of client-focused service.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in employability, welfare-to-work, careers advice, or similar client-facing roles.
* Strong communication, coaching, and case management skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups, including socially and economically excluded individuals.
* Knowledge of employability programmes, Government initiatives, and safeguarding best practices.
* Organisational skills with the ability to manage caseloads and meet targets.
