Job Description
Role Summary
The Sales Manager drives business growth across the UK and Ireland, with a primary focus on Process Applications and support for Water applications as needed. The role strengthens MANN+HUMMEL’s presence in the region through market insight, customer relationship management, new market development, and strategic sales initiatives in membrane filtration solutions.
Your Challenge
1. Develop and expand the market for Water & Fluid Solutions, with a focus on membrane filtration applications
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales objectives within the assigned geography and markets
3. Proactively approach the market to acquire new customers and generate inquiries
4. Develop new application areas within process industries beyond existing business scope
5. Identify and establish new distribution partners in the region
6. Manage and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
7. Conduct regular customer visits to provide consultation and technical support on MANN+HUMMEL membrane solutions
8. Drive sales activities including proposal management, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
9. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to acquire new customers and deliver the sales.
10. Support handling customer complaints and product returns in a professional and solution-oriented manner
11. Monitor and support back-office sales processes (e.g. administration, customer service, invoices, credit, collections)
12. Analyze market trends and forecast customer demands for future planning
13. Conduct competitive analysis and contribute to pricing strategies on a project basis
14. Contribute to the development of sales and marketing initiatives, including customer retention, promotion, and brand positioning
15. Support product managers and technical teams in pilot projects and new product development aligned with customer needs
16. Participate in seminars, trade fairs, and workshops to promote solutions
17. Deliver product training and workshops for distributors, OEMs, consultants, and end users
Your Profile
18. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field
19. Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the dairy / food & beverage / specialty chemicas and watertechnology industryProven experience in one or more of the following: Product Management, Sales, Technical Service Management
20. Expertise:Strong know how in membrane technologies and applications in water & wastewaterDeep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive positioning Ability to identify growth opportunities and address challenges proactivelyFamiliarity with relevant environmental and water industry regulationsStrong analytical skills, CRM knowledge, MS office skills and SAP Skills
21. Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German and Italian are a strong advantage
22. Personality: Results-driven and entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship-building skills, ability to work cross-functionally in an international environment
