Position Summary:
TÜV SÜD America is seeking a Sales Hunter Account Executive to support its Newmarket, Ontario operations in environmental testing and Li-ion battery testing. This role requires collaboration with the sales team, lab experts, and management, with a focus on understanding Li-ion battery test specifications.
This position is based in Newmarket, Ontario, and targets markets including energy storage, automotive, trucks, off-road, marine, military, and aerospace.
Responsibilities:
* Develop new customers and markets, focusing on sales growth and market share expansion.
* Build relationships with clients, serving as a technical liaison and understanding their needs.
* Draft test plans, develop technical presentations, and stay informed of industry standards.
* Participate in industry organizations and share insights with the team.
* Manage quotations, follow-up activities, and CRM records.
* Conduct site visits and customer discovery discussions.
* Travel up to 25% within North America.
The role includes services such as battery testing, environmental testing, certification, and post-test analysis.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum five years in business development or sales, with proven results.
* Experience in target markets, with non-automotive experience considered a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Knowledge of the Li-ion battery market and laboratory testing.
* Understanding of financial issues and business fundamentals.
* Strong communication, organizational skills, and customer focus.
* Basic experience with CRM software.
