Part Time Accounts/Administrative Assistant

Pay: £15,000 - £18,000 per year depending on experience

Location: St Albans

Reporting to the Finance Director, the job holder is responsible for supporting the Finance Director and the HR & Policy Manager with accounting and administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone to work 15 hours per week. The hours of work will be 9.30am to 2.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We're willing to consider alternative days and times to suit the the right person, but we do require you to be in the office for some hours on a Friday.

McAuliffe Site Services provide electrical services to Construction Sites across London. You will be a valued member of our small team, working in our St Albans Office.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and versatile individual to join our team, providing essential support to our Finance Director and HR & Policy Manager.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Financial Administration: Take ownership of the purchase ledger using Sage. Your day-to-day will involve printing and collating invoices, data entry, raising remittances, and performing full accounts reconciliation.
* HR & Policy Support: Assist the HR & Policy Manager with weekly logs, health and safety reports, and general administrative tasks.
* Document Control: Oversee company document protocols on client platforms (e.g., ACONEX), ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and correctly numbered.
* Social Media: Assisting with social media posts on LinkedIn

The skillset we are looking for:

* Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with Sage accounting software and a high level of computer literacy, including proficiency with basic Excel Spreadsheets.
* Critical Thinking: A logical and analytical mindset to identify anomalies and resolve issues independently.
* Exceptional Organisation: A methodical approach to managing data and strictly following document control protocols.
* Communication Skills: The ability to handle account queries and liaise with suppliers, clients and employees confidently and professionally.
* Adaptability: A proactive "can-do" attitude, ready to provide ad hoc support to senior directors whenever needed.

The salary for this role is £15,000 - £18,000 per year depending on experience. Benefits include 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays per year (pro rata), company pension scheme and On-site parking.
