The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a long-term water and utilities framework, based from their Brighton offices. This position will see you supporting a portfolio of civils and utilities projects, ensuring sound commercial management and providing financial guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities

Take ownership of commercial duties across allocated projects.

Prepare and submit applications for payment, variations, and final accounts.
*
Administer subcontract accounts, including procurement, payments, and change control.
*
Support the delivery team with accurate cost forecasting, CVRs, and monthly reporting.
*
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, primarily under NEC.
*
Maintain and develop positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
*
Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide proactive solutions.
Candidate Requirements
*
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
*
Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
*
Demonstrable commercial and financial acumen, with a strong eye for detail.
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels.
*
Highly organised, able to manage workload across multiple live projects.
*
A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline is advantageous.
